Here are our Leaf crafts. Vanessa @ V&Co was the winner this week. But we were sad to see Alish & Whitney go.
Craft #1 - Leaves Headband - Mique @ 30 Days
So many options for a theme revolving around leaves! I decided to make a leaves headband. Using felt, a button, and an elastic headband- anyone can make one and it's cute to boot. A fun little addition to your fall wardrobe and great for a girl or a lady. Enjoy!
Craft #2 - Grateful Mini-Album - Alish & Whitney @ Sisters Stuff
When I saw this line of scrapbook paper with festive fall leaves, I was excited to create this grateful mini-album. It is made from simple brown paper lunch bags as the base and then covered with card stock, patterned paper, ribbons and embellishments. This 8 page mini-album with 4 pocket tags is the perfect place to document all that you are grateful for this season.
Craft #3 - Ceres Crown of Leaves - Kathleen @ Katydid & Kid
Leaves are things of beauty, whether or not they're real or made of wool felt. To celebrate the cool autumn nights and the falling of the leaves, I created a felt leaf crown, named for Ceres, the goddess of the harvest.
Mostly embroidered and stitched by hand, this crown will make its wearer feel like the queen of the harvest amidst the fading days of fall.
Craft #4 - These Boots Were Made for Kickin'.... - Jessica @ Happy Together
Kicking leaves that is! The most fun one can ever have with leaves if raking them into a big pile and then having at them. So of course, you should have some cute boots to go about this in.
Craft #5 - Glitter Wreath - Jill @ Homemade by Jill
At this time of year, glitter reigns supreme as my favorite craft supply. Because nothing says holiday like a bit (or a lot) of sparkle. This wreath was made with cardstock and generous amounts of glitter, so the leaves will shimmer year after year. Take off the bow and it can also double as part of a Thanksgiving centerpiece!
Craft #6 - Burlap Tree Frame - Lindsey @ Inspiring Creations
When I think of leaves, I think of fall and the vibrant colors of all of the leaves. This project is very inexpensive and so easy to make. I used burlap for the background to give it a rustic look. To represent the leaves I used red and gold buttons and painted the tree and the words on by using a simple homemade stencil.
Craft #7 - The Modern Leaf - Dana @ MADE
*Craft #8 - No Sew Leaf Wreath - Vanessa @ V & Co*
Craft #9 - Teeny Tiny Shrinky Dink Leaves Necklace - Ashley @ Lil Blue Boo
Craft #7 - The Modern Leaf - Dana @ MADE
Though I'm not sure when leaves were ever old fashioned, here's what mine have been doing lately.
The perfect Fall accent for any room, these pillows are made of soft tan linen, chocolate piping, and your own color-changing leaf. The variegated colors come from layers of recycled T-shirt knits.
Have you ever glanced at your Thrift Store's T-shirt rack and noticed the color spectrum? This was a craft project just waiting to happen.
Start rummaging through your husband's old T-shirt drawer. Toss off the old pillows. And bring some leafy hues in to your life.
*Craft #8 - No Sew Leaf Wreath - Vanessa @ V & Co*
This no sew project was a spur of the moment idea. I originally was going to do something else but decided at the last minute to change it. I made it in less than 2 hours. If you don’t have little monkeys to keep you company and constantly need to you to multitask…well then I would say you could do this in less than an hour.
Craft #9 - Teeny Tiny Shrinky Dink Leaves Necklace - Ashley @ Lil Blue Boo
Everything is cuter when it is miniature. This “leaves” necklace is made from a bracelet “end clasp” and teeny tiny shrinky dink shapes. Each tiny leaf has been carefully cut out, hand painted, and then shrunken to its small size. I hand-carved the little leaf veins, added jump rings and attached them all to a “charm ring” made from one end of a bracelet clasp that you can find at any craft store. Each leaf charm is less than 1/2” long.
